WOLVES STORM THUNDER


Thunder Bay, ON- Having taken out Niagara Falls' elite forward, Ilya Kovalchuk early helped. But outstanding games from the Timberwolves solidified a win on Tuesday.
>>>At 9:50 into the first period, Rick Nash notched his first goal for Thunder Bay from Nick Schultz and Marc Savard.
>>>Captain, Keith Ballard made it 2-0 for the Timberwolves at 11:09. The Thunder's Drew Doughty cut the lead in half at 12:36 to close out the first period scoring.
>>>The second period was all Timberwolves as Mike Fisher netted his 12th of the season while on a power play, and bruising blueliner, Douglas Murray scored his 3rd from Fisher and TJ Oshie.
>>>The third period scoring came first from super-pest, Sean Avery. But ended with another tally from Nash and a power play goal from Patrick Sharp to end the game at 6-2 for the Timberwolves.
