LUNDQVIST STONES REMPARTS

Thunder Bay, ON- Whatever discussion there may have been regarding who would mind the nets for the Thunder Bay Timberwolves, the arrival of Henrik Lundqvist has solidified those in his corner.
>>>Taking a loss in his first game, Lundqvist backstopped his club to victory in his second go around. In his third start in as many Timberwolves' games? Nothing less than a shutout.
>>>One for each crown on the Swedish goaltenders mask, the Timberwolves potted three goals against the Quebec Remparts on Thursday before another capacity crowd and Lundqvist was sharp in stopping all 23 shots taken by Quebec.
>>>"Not much you can negatively take away from a shutout," said Timberwolves GM, Blake Wendt. "Great effort out there and I'm sure Henrik would be the first to acknowledge his teammates for this win and shutout. He made alot of elite saves, but he seen alot of shots too and you can't under estimate the effort to clear those lanes and keep them clear. Great team win today."
>>>The Timberwolves will have Friday off and will travel to Quebec for their first rubber match of the season on Saturday to prepare for Sunday's rematch.
>>>"The Remparts are a proud club who still have a fresh championship banner in their barn," said Wendt. "We fully expect them to make adjustments and be ready to compete come Sunday."
