WOLVES SEND 2 TO WJC

Thunder Bay, Ont- Even with the success of the big club, the Timberwolves' prospect pond is still very well stocked and expected to produce for years to come.
>>>As has been the case for the past couple years, Thunder Bay will be well represented at the 2011 World Junior Championships in Buffalo, New York beginning on Sunday the 26th.
>>>John Ramage (pictured) will don the red, white and blue for the defending gold medalist United States again. The Wisconsin Badger was drafted this past summer in the 6th round, 99th overall by the Timberwolves.
>>>On Sunday, Team USA will open the tournament against Finland where Ramage will defend against fellow 2010 Timberwolves draftee, Erik Haula. The Suomi forward was drafted three spots behind Ramage at 102 in the 6th round. Haula is in his first season at the University of Minnesota.
>>>Timberwolves general manager, Blake Wendt will be in attendence on Sunday to watch first hand two of his late round, high quality prospects.
>>>"We knew what we were getting when we drafted these guys," Wendt said. "Couple of extremely underrated players that are proving their worth with their respective college teams. We're extremely happy with their development and being able to represent their countries is reflective of their talent and work ethic. This is always one the best tournaments to watch, even if you don't have players in it."
